Mission Impossible
Age: 8 years old
Pierce was explaining his dyspraxia, using his piggy bank to demonstrate what he was thinking. He grabbed his piggy bank and drew a line down the middle. One side was his “dyspraxic side”. The other side “Pierce side”.
He told me:
“Information will go into one of the pig’s ears on the dyspraxic side and information will go into the other pig’s ear on the Pierce side, and the information heads towards mission control (pointing to a distance, away from the pig).
“The information beacon for Pierce’s side is like 2 m away, and the information beacon for the dyspraxic side is 1 m away”.
“Obviously 1 m away is closer to mission control than 2 m away (looking at me proudly), and so mission control receives information from the dyspraxic brain first… and it blows up mission control.”
…He proceeds to laugh uncontrollably like any 8 year old boy would.
